My last trip was to London with Jennifer for our 10th anniversary.
It was in February and it was wonderful. I'll add more photos later.
We stayed on the north side of Hyde Park at the Park Court Hotel.
We would usually take the 94 to Oxford Circus and tour on our own from there.
We saw Madame Tussaud's, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, Greenwich,
the Cutty Sark, Harrods, etc, etc.
On Feb 13 we went to Saint Pauls Cathedral and had our new wedding bands blessed.
This was a surprise for Jennifer. On the 14 we floated around the city and I made
sure we ended up at Westminster Abby just before it closed.
I took Jenny in and right up to the alter and resited our vows and put the ring on her finger.
She tried to do the same but was too choked up and just put on my ring.
We've been to London before with some friends and that trip was the best vacation we had ever had.
My last trip over seas was to the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean.
It's about 1000 Miles south of India. The country is the opposite of Minnesota.
It's the land of 10000 atols. Great diving and Great shark meat.
Oh Yea, almost the whole country has nude bathing!!!
The Place I had the most fun alone was Catania Sicily.
I was sent there with a great deal of lira and no knowledge of the language.
But the people were friendly and the food I ate was some of the best I've ever had.
Even though all I could do is point at something on the menu and hope for the best. I got the best!!!
