Welcome:
 
 Rolla is the sixth child 
 of Franklin Delinger Houk
 and second wife Cora Pace.

 In September of 1918 Rolla
 registered for the draft and
 listed his employer as
 George Hinker in Woonsocket
 Sanborn County SD.
 His place of residents was
 rural route 17 Windsor
 Henry County. 
 At the age of 20 Rolla was 
 still living with his parents
 in Windsor Henry County
 Missouri. But he soon moved
 to South Dakota to work on a 
 general farm with his three 
 brothers John T, Albert E, &
 August D. There he met and
 married Myrtle Johnson. In
 1930 he was the proprietor
 of an auto salvage yard and 
 lived with wife and daughter
 Phyllis.

In 1930 they moved to Vermillion Clay County South Dakota and had their first child. Rolla eventually moved back to Missouri. They are buried in the Exeter Missouri.
